Things to do in January
Wow, 2012 is finally here. We're having the strangest winter in southeast! It's been warm, but can't seem to stop blowing and precipitating in one form or another for what seems like months now. We did get enough cold weather to make it into dormancy for the berry plants, which is a very good thing. We are getting the new raised beds ready for transplanting last year's controlled growing environment seedlings and our first air layered cuttings transplantation! We hope our old friends and many new ones stop in to join our forum. It's time to get some berry farms started in Alaska and we have quite a few folks in the lower 48 states who also recognize the unique value of our berries...we would like to introduce you to each other and get ourselves a real farmer's cooperative going here in terms of sharing information, encouragement and advice! Please join us and any help you could offer on this whole forum thing is greatly appreciated because we're FARMERS not IT specialists, lolol. Bear with us and bear with us (I crack myself up!).
